30 years of tradition
San Francisco AutoSport is proud to have R&M Automotive, Johns Jaguar and AVR Service as our service and repair partners. For over 30 years, our partners have provided the greater San Francisco Bay Area with expert service and repairs for both German and British automobiles.

History of R&M Automotive
Roger and Mike started working on automobiles with their father Tony, who owned and operated his own service and repair center in Europe and, after coming to the US in 1978, opened a repair center in San Francisco. During that time they acquired formal training and became Certified European Automotive Technicians. In 1990 Roger and his brother Mike opened R&M Automotive where they specialize in the maintenance and repair of European automobiles. Fourteen years later the brothers made a move to their new location at 824 Ellis St. in San Francisco. The new facility is filled with state-of-the-art equipment and 14 service bays.

The move to this 22,000 square foot facility gave Roger and Mike the chance to expand their services to include Sales and Consignment. Many of their clients have in the past relied on them to find suitable transportation for themselves as well as their families. This service is now available to the public as San Francisco AutoSport.

In 2000 R&M Automotive formed a partnership AVR Service and Johns Jaguar, both long-time European auto specialists in San Francisco. Combined, they continue their tradition of providing quality service and repairs to their customers.

History of AVR Service
Albert completed his apprenticeship in working on VW and Porsche in 1960 and has continued working full-time as a technician specializing in European cars.

In 1967 he and his business partner opened Continental Auto Motif Service, specializing in the repair of European automobiles. In 1970 Albert changed the name of the business to AVR Service and shifted the focus to Porsche, BMW and Mercedes autos.

Today Albert is well respected in Porsche circles. He has one of the most loyal customer bases in the city and—at age 64—is as passionate about fine European autos as when he was when he first entered the business.

History of John's Jaguar
After completing his apprenticeship in 1978 with an independent import service center in the Bay Area who specialized in Triumph, MG and Jaguar automobiles, John opened John's Import Car Service in San Francisco. He later changed the name to John's Jaguar Service where he has gained a reputation for being the premier independent British automobile repair service center in the city.

John has an excellent reputation, which has gained him many loyal customers over the years and he continues to provide the same quality of service today.

All of us at here at San Francisco AutoSport, R&M Automotive, AVR Service and John's Jaguar believe Tony would be proud of our progress.
